We don't need to tell you as a weaver about the long history of weaving, it's social importance over thousands of years and its cultural significance that runs deep. These are all part of the reasons why we are looking for artists like you to share your weaving with everyone.

Join us to celebrate all things weaving.

Our desire is to share a diversity of styles and approaches as well as cultural practices. We want the day to be a success for you to sell your wares and promote yourself as an artist/craft person.

Although we are keen for all things weaving we will need to be selective so we can show case broad variety of weaving. This does mean we are looking for variety and that could be you.

Discussion groups

As a lead up to the fair we will be holding weaving discussion circles. An experienced weaver that can hold a group in a discussion is required. The session will be 1.5 to 3 hours long and may be sequential if required. You will work with a facilitator of the conversation and at times a translator.

Weaving Fair stalls

Share your craft and passion with those that have travelled near and far to view and immerse in weaving!

You will be allocated a stall space approximately 4m facing. Larger space available on request.

Bring your own stall tables and marquee.

Power (limited) available on request.

We require that you demonstrate your craft at your stall. This will help the success of the event and also attract people to your stall. The more you put into being an active and interesting stall the more attention you will get.

Your efforts help make it a fair and not just a market.

Cost for a stall.

As this is inaugural Weaving Fair, the first 25 stalls accepted will only be $15.

Each stall after, will be $45 per stall discounted from $80

Classes and talks

If you would like to offer a class prior to the event, a class on the day or a talk on the day, then please use the expression of interest below.

Weaving artists delivering a course will receive a percentage of the group booking.

Edmund Rice Community Centre, Mt Atkinson

The Mt Atkinson community centre has a heritage listed homestead, large shed/hall and 1.3 hectares of open space, with loads of parking. Only 35 minutes from the CBD.
