The Mt Atkinson Art Group is an inclusive, welcoming group that respects the diversity of those living in the west, the abilities of each person and the environment we are a part of. No experience is required, just a desire to be creative and enjoy the company of others.

Social Mondays

10:00am to 12:30pm.

BYO lunch (if you wish to stay on for lunch), 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

What art do we do?

We explore different art forms that everyone can participate in. Check out our facebook page to see some past examples and future events. If it’s not the art that you wish to do on a certain week, you can still join us and continue with a chosen piece of your own in the social and welcoming setting of the group.

We will do 1 to 4 sessions on different art topics. Sometimes we will get in external artists to teach us, mostly we draw upon the experience in the group. It's sometimes hard turning up to a new group. We understand this and will do our best to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Note: We don't meet on public holidays, the Monday following Christmas day and all of January)

What art do we do?

Over the 4 weeks of January the group enjoys doing a community art piece together.

The project will be decided by the group and include everyone’s skills and talent to complete it.
